YOON Doohyun majored in Environmental Sculpture at University of Seoul, and received an MFA in Fine Arts at Maryland Institute College of Art. The artist produces installation, photography, and sculptural works with objects that are closely and easily accessible in his life. Including Sierra (2018), Wallpaper (2017–), a series that utilizes computer background pictures we can see every day, the artist has been producing works that question the boundary between the imaginary and reality by utilizing daily tools such as thermometers, levels, and more.
Starting with the residency at the Incheon Art Platform in 2019, he is planning multiple exhibitions and projects. During the residency he will continue working on photographs, producing installations with these photo prints, and on sculptural works. In addition, he will expand into other mediums and conduct various sculptural experiments during the residency. For instance, he is planning to create a work that involves dynamic movements using a monitor, light and other effects, and to install photographs on the floor by using gravity and balance.
